NCRWA Conference Awards – Nominations Now Open!
The North Carolina Rural Water Association is excited to announce that the nomination process for our 2026 Conference Awards is officially open. These awards recognize outstanding individuals, systems, and organizations that have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and commitment to the water and wastewater industry. We encourage members to nominate peers who have gone above and beyond to protect public health and serve their communities. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the best in our industry. Here are the award categories for the NCRWA Conference Awards:
- J.A. Younts Award for Excellence in Water
Recognizes a person who demonstrates dedication to their job, their water system, and rural water, setting an example for others. Nominations may include system personnel or elected officials. - Al Deratt Award for Excellence in Wastewater
Honors a person showing dedication to their wastewater system and rural water, going above and beyond to educate themselves and improve the industry. Open to system personnel and elected officials. - Award for Administrative Excellence
Presented to someone who has enhanced their water or wastewater system’s operation through innovative work practices, administrative leadership, and operational support. - Bud Pate Service Award
Celebrates an individual who has shown outstanding community concern and service, either within their local community or the water/wastewater industry. Anyone can nominate a person associated with any North Carolina system.
