Richard Davis

Richard Davis is a Wastewater Training and Technical Assistance Specialist with the North Carolina Rural Water Association, bringing decades of experience in water and wastewater operations, utility management, and public service. A North Carolina native and military veteran, Richard began his career in the water industry while still in high school and later served with the 82nd Airborne Division as a medic in Air Ambulance Helicopter Rescue.

After earning degrees in Business Administration, Richard continued building a distinguished career with the Town of Apex and the City of Durham, retiring as the ORC of an advanced Grade IV water reclamation facility. Today, he holds multiple professional certifications and helps utilities across North Carolina improve operations through training, technical assistance, and leadership development. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing, flying, and serving as an aviation instructor and commercial pilot.
