Energy Efficiency Program

Saving Energy. Reducing Costs. Protecting Your Community’s Future.

Energy costs continue to rise, equipment continues to age, and every dollar spent unnecessarily is a dollar that can’t be invested back into your water or wastewater systems. The water industry is constantly evolving, that’s why we recommend an energy efficiency audit done every 5 years. This will ensure the long-term sustainability of your water, wastewater systems and communities
Eligible systems have access to Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance at no additional cost. This benefit is designed to help utilities identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, lower operating expenses, improve system performance, and make informed decisions that protect both your infrastructure and consumers’ rates.
An Energy Efficiency Assessment gives your systems a clear roadmap to reduce overall costs and energy consumption.
Water and wastewater systems are among the largest consumers of electricity in most communities, with energy costs often accounting for 30-60% of a utility’s operating budget. That means even the smallest improvements in efficiency can produce significant long-term savings.
